Ms. Eliviva Acosta- DLE

My name is Mrs. Acosta and I am a product of FWISD. I have lived in Fort Worth all my life and attended H. V. Helbing Elementary School, Meacham Middle School and the magnet program of Medical Professions and North Side High School. I attended Texas Wesleyan University and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Bilingual Education in Early Childhood to 4th Grade with a Spanish minor in 2006. I returned 4 years later to Texas Wesleyan for my Masters Degrees in Mathematics Early Education to College, Second Language Acquisition and Culture and in Administration in 2014. I am married to my husband Antonio and have 4 children: Roel, Daniel, Arriel and Damaris. I have been teaching for 20 years all in FWISD and have taught bilingual Kindergarten, third, fourth and fifth grades in elementary school and 1 year of middle school math. I have been at Sunrise McMillan four years now as a bilingual 4th grade teacher.

Ms. Tiera Wilkins

Ms. Wilkins was born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she attended and graduated from Dollarway High School. She then attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in the year of 2013. Ms. Wilkins is a mother of 3 beautiful children (1 girl & 2 boys). During her spare time, she loves to spend time with family near and far. She is a former student of Texas Teachers of Tomorrow where she obtained her Teacher Certification. Ms. Wilkins is currently a student at Capella University where she is set to obtain her Master’s in Higher Education in the year of 2024. She has been a part of the Sunrise-McMillan family for 5 years as a 4th Grade Math and Science Teacher. Ms. Wilkins’ personal motto is “To let our light shine a little brighter than yesterday.”

I am from Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated from Tarleton state University with a bachelors in child development and a concentration in early childhood education. I have worked with children for over 3 years within AVID and extracurricular programs. I love to try new foods from different cultures, travel, and spend time with my loved ones. I decided to work in education to support and advocate for our youths developmental success. To facilitate growth, and encourage our students to be the best they can be everyday.

I have done Masters in Psychology from University of Delhi, India. I like traveling to new places and reading books. I like children and I enjoy teaching the young minds.
